On vehicles fitted with a towbar, check the condition and security of the trailer electrical socket. On vehicles fitted with a trailer 13 pin Euro-socket, use an approved device to check that the socket is wired to correctly operate the trailer. Not sure ?? give Roger a call for more infomation.

1.9 Electrical Wiring and Battery

This inspection applies to all vehicles, including electric and hybrid vehicles.

Some tow bar electrical sockets are ‘hidden’ behind an access panel in the bumper or bodywork. Unless requiring the use of tools or specialist equipment, these panels must be removed to facilitate the inspection of the towbar socket.

If a tow ball or pin is not fitted at the time of test, e.g. because it is detachable, has been unbolted or otherwise removed, but the attachment brackets are still in place, any trailer electrical socket should still be assessed.

Members of the public had the chance to meet Sir Ian and skate for a very worthy cause.

Alu-Tech has a fixed price service plan for the first three years of ownership after which it reverts to a standard service programme on the service centre's normal price tariff.

Year 1: Standard caravan service @ £150
Year 2: Standard caravan service @ £250
Year 3: Standard caravan service + full body shell bolt torque check @ £350(must be done by an Approved Bailey Centre)
Years 4 to 10: Standard caravan service @ service centre's normal price tariff

With the exception of the one-off body shell bolt torque check after three years Alu-Tech requires an annual standard caravan service(this must be done at a Bailey Warranty Approved Centre)
